Every class. Every open studio. No count to keep.
Add the Unlimited Class Pass to your membership and come to as many classes and open studio sessions as you want, every month, from $60 on top of your level.
Starts today. One charge for the month, then we change your recurring price on our side.
Pick your level. The rest of this month goes unlimited.
Two things, and both of them big.
A short list, and a lot of studio time.
8sessions a week
Every class and every open studio
Five instructed classes and three open studio sessions run every week, and all of them are yours. Come to one or come to every one. Nobody counts.
Moreshelf room
The unlimited member overflow shelves
Shelves held for unlimited members, on top of the shelf your level already gives you, for the extra work that coming this often turns out.
Samelevel
Everything else stays your level
Glazes, tools, slab molds, your own shelf and your clay discount all stay exactly what your level gives you. Moving up a level is its own thing, on the mid-month upgrade page.
- 29pottery wheels
- 650+brush-on glazes
- 150+underglazes
- 248slab molds
- 4kilns
A few extra visits and it has paid for itself.
Your level already prices every class. Come a few more times than that and every visit after costs less than the ones you are paying for now.
At 12 visits, unlimited at Green Level works out to $17.08 a visit. It passes your current class price at 6 visits.
| Level | Today | With unlimited | Pays for itself at |
|---|---|---|---|
| Green Level | $145, 4 classes | $205 a month | 6 visits |
| Yellow Level | $170, 5 classes | $250 a month | 8 visits |
| Purple Level | $200, 6 classes | $310 a month | 10 visits |
| Black Level | $275, 8 classes | $415 a month | 13 visits |
Class prices assume every class your level includes gets used. Clay and firings are separate at every level, with or without unlimited.
Five rules, and the reason behind each one.
The Clay Hole is a small business, and a for-profit one. That second part is the plan, anyway. We run the most fully loaded community pottery studio on the planet, and every wheel, glaze, slab mold and kiln in it was bought so members could use it.
Unlimited is priced for potters who want to be here constantly. Those are exactly the people we want here constantly.
A pass like this has one weak spot. A production potter can use it to move the costs of a home studio onto ours: free bisque, a wall of glazes for work made somewhere else, clay bought elsewhere. Done at volume, that turns a membership into a loss for the studio.
These five rules close that gap and nothing else. For a member who makes their work here and fires it here, they change nothing at all.
-
Rule 1
Fire everything here, or fire everything elsewhere.
Fire here. Your bisque and your glaze firings both go through our kilns, paid on a kiln ticket like every member.Fire elsewhere. Your work goes home unfired, and both firings happen in your own kiln or someone else’s.What the pass does not allow is the split: bisquing here, then taking the work home for the glaze firing.
Why it exists. A bisque firing here has no separate charge because its cost is built into the glaze firing price ($0.05 a cubic inch, $4.80 minimum). Work that leaves after bisque never pays for the firing it already got.
-
Rule 2
Firing elsewhere? Glaze here only what you made here.
Glaze firing it here? Make it anywhere you like, and use our glazes. Firing it at home? Then glaze here only what you made here.
Why it exists. The glaze firing you pay for here helps cover the glaze on every piece. Work made and fired at home pays none of it back.
-
Rule 3
All your clay comes from The Clay Hole.
Same as it has always been for every member.
Why it exists. Clay sales are part of how the studio stays open, and we know exactly what is going into our kilns and our reclaim.
-
Rule 4
No refunds, and unlimited doesn’t carry forward.
Come less than your level’s usual number of classes and the unused ones carry forward, the same as always. The unlimited part does not. It is a month of open doors, and a quiet month is still a month.
Why it exists. A pass that banked its unused days would be a pile of free classes waiting to be spent, which is a different product at a very different price.
-
Rule 5
Two membership changes a year, and no one-month jumps.
Adding or dropping unlimited counts as a membership change, and every membership allows two a year. Add unlimited for a single month and drop straight back down, and the pass is off the table for six months before you can add it again.
Why it exists. One heavy month of studio time and supplies, then back to a small plan, is the cheapest way to use unlimited and the most expensive one for us.
The things members ask first.
When does unlimited start?
The moment you pay, as long as it is before the 25th. The whole month you are in becomes an unlimited month, and your recurring price changes from next month on.
Memberships renew on the 25th, so a purchase on the 25th or later counts toward the following month and unlimited starts on the 1st.
I’ve already used this month’s classes. Does unlimited still help?
That is the best time to add it. Once it is paid, every session left in the month is yours, however many you have already used.
Is it worth buying late in the month?
It is a full month’s charge whatever the date. On the 3rd that buys nearly a month of sessions. On the 22nd it buys a few days. If you only want unlimited from next month, text us instead and there is nothing to pay today.
Does unlimited change my glazes, tools or shelf?
No. Your level decides all of that, and it stays the same. Unlimited adds sessions and the overflow shelves. To move up a level as well, use the mid-month upgrade page.
Do I still pay for clay and firings?
Yes, the same as every member. Clay comes from the studio, and glaze firings run $0.05 a cubic inch with a $4.80 minimum. Bisque has no separate charge because it is built into that glaze firing price.
Can I fire some pieces here and some at home?
Not on the Unlimited Class Pass. It is all here or all elsewhere, bisque and glaze together. That is rule 1, and the rules section explains why.
Do I need to cancel anything or set up a new subscription?
No, and please don’t cancel anything. This is one charge for the month. We change your existing recurring membership price on our side, so you never end up with two subscriptions.
How do I stop unlimited later?
Text us at 385-241-5528 before the 24th and it comes off from the next month. That counts as one of your two membership changes for the year, and dropping it after a single month starts the six-month wait before it can be added again.
The studio is open. Come as often as you want it.
Every class, every open studio session, and the overflow shelves for everything you make. From $60 a month on top of your level.
