You'll use the thicker 14 gauge tips for thick glaze such as Stroke & Coat and the thinner gauge tips as your glazes thin out. A glaze like Hot Running Chowder, for example, which comes out barely thicker than water, needs the 20 gauge tip.
When you purchase a pack of applicator bottles, they are yours to keep, rinse, and reuse as you see fit.
Just please do not put more glaze into them than you'll need for your project and dump any unused glaze back into the main glaze bottles.
