One visit, your table, your tools, your clay. They get the run of a 10,000 sq ft studio for less than you’d spend taking them to dinner — and if they walk out a member, you get the fee back.
The fee is 25% of your own monthly membership, capped at $42.50.
It costs about what the cinema costs. And if they join, it costs nothing.
Most members read the guest fee as a ticket price. It’s closer to a deposit you usually get back.
If they join, the fee comes back
If your guest signs up for membership the same day they visit, the guest fee comes back to you. Text us afterwards on 385-241-5528 and we’ll sort it out. It happens more than you’d think — hesitant friends have a habit of becoming members.
The whole studio, not a taster table
29 wheels, 650+ glazes, 150+ molds, four instructors on the floor, and a seat next to you for the entire class. A one-night pottery class elsewhere runs $45 to $75 for about two hours and nothing finished at the end of it.
Everyone gets exactly one
One guest pass per person, ever. They come once, and after that it’s membership if they want more — the pass is a proper look at the place, not a way to do pottery here without joining. So spend it on someone who’d genuinely love a few hours of this, rather than someone you’re trying to convince.

Pay for their spot
Buy the pass above. Before you come or on your phone in the car park — either is fine, as long as it’s paid before they start making something.
They sign the waiver
The same studio waiver every member signs. Two minutes, online. Send it to them before they come so it’s done — and if they forget, they can do it at the door.
Tell an instructor when you get here
Walk in, say who they are, and we’ll get them set up. If we’re already full that session we may ask you to bring them another time instead — that’s the only reason we ask, and it’s rare. If you want to be certain, text us first on 385-241-5528.
You look after them

While they’re here, you’re the instructor.
We mean that fairly literally. Your guest is yours for the session — you show them how to centre, you share your clay, you put a mold in front of them when the wheel humbles them, and you walk them round and introduce them to the table.
Our instructors will absolutely help, but they’re running a room of thirty to fifty people and they can’t adopt a beginner for the session. That’s the trade that makes this possible at $42.50 instead of a class fee. It’s also, honestly, the best part — teaching someone the thing you love is a very good way to spend a few hours.
Which sessions work
Any of them. Evening classes, the Monday morning class, Friday evening open studio, and the Saturday and Sunday morning open studio times — a guest can come to any one of those. Workshops, parties and special events are the exceptions; those are members only.
One thing to weigh up: open studio times have no instructors on the floor, so on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday you really are the only teacher in the building for them.
Just not your own first class
You need one class under your belt before you bring anyone. Your own first class is all tour, shelf, clay and setup — there’s no room in it to host somebody else.
Every so often we try to make this free.
Every two or three months we aim to run a Bring Your Friends Free Week, where the guest fee comes off entirely for the week.
We can’t promise one. Some months the calendar is too full, or the classes already are, and we’d rather tell you it’s something we aim for than announce a date we then have to take back. When we do run one, everything else stays the same: waiver signed, two guests each, tell an instructor when you arrive.
Which is why this pass exists. The free week might be nine weeks out, and your friend is free on Thursday. Take them Thursday. If a free week does land while you’ve got a pass sitting there, bring somebody else along on the house and use the pass on the session you’d already planned.
The questions we get asked.
What does it actually cost?
A quarter of your own monthly membership fee, capped at $42.50. That’s $36.25 if you’re Green, and $42.50 at Yellow, Purple and Black — all three sit above the cap, so all three pay the cap.
What does my guest get for that?
Everything your level unlocks, because they’re using your access. Your clay, your tools, your glazes. They can throw on a wheel, sit at the hand-building tables, press a slab mold, or wander between all three — same as you.
Can I bring two people?
Two at a time is the maximum. Buy a pass for each of them, and tell an instructor when you arrive so we know the numbers. Bear in mind each of them is spending their one and only visit.
It’s worth being realistic about it: two beginners is a lot of teaching for one person in one evening. Two works best when they already know each other and are happy sharing your table.
What if they want to join?
Best possible outcome. They can sign up that same day, and we’ll refund your guest fee — just text us afterwards on 385-241-5528 and we’ll take care of it.
Can the same person come again?
No — one guest pass per person, ever. One session is enough to find out whether you love clay, and pottery only really works when you’re coming back week after week to see a piece through.
The honest reason for the limit: without it, guest passes turn into a cheap a la carte membership, which isn’t fair on the people who actually joined.
What should they bring and wear?
Clothes they genuinely don’t mind getting clay on, fingernails cut short, and their own apron and a towel. Clay washes out of most things, but it will find them.
Everything else — clay, tools, glazes — is here and comes off your membership.
Do they take home what they make?
Their call on the day. They can carry it home wet, or leave it on your shelf to dry and go through the kilns with your work, in which case the firing goes on your account.
Set expectations before they arrive: nothing gets finished in one evening. Pottery dries for days or weeks, gets bisque fired, glazed, then fired again. Plan on a couple of months before a finished piece exists.

Which sessions can they come to?
Any of them — evening classes, the Monday morning class, and the Friday, Saturday and Sunday open studio times. Workshops, parties and special events are members only. And not your own very first class, which is all tour and setup.
How old do guests have to be?
Same rule as membership: 18 or older, or 14 to 17 alongside their own parent or guardian — and that parent or guardian has to be the member bringing them.
Do passes expire?
Yes. Use them in the month you buy them; they don’t carry over. So buy them for sessions you’ve actually got in mind rather than stockpiling for later.
