Clay Hole Kiln Firing

Members of The Clay Hole must pay for all glaze firings (bisque firings are free) before putting glazed pottery on the drop-off tables.

The price for glaze firings is $0.05 per cubic inch, with some important things to know...

1. The minimum for any piece is $4.80
2. Any piece 125 cubic inches or less is always $4.80. 125 cubic inches is equivalent to a 5"x5"x5" piece.
3. If you can fit multiple small pieces (with at least 1/4" space separating them) on a single cookie (125 cubic inches or less), you can pay as if it is one piece. This is the only situation pieces can be combined onto a single cookie
4. All measurements need to be calculated based on the longest measurement in any direction. For example, if a piece is 4" deep at one point and 8" deep at another, the calculation is based on the full 8".
5. The maximum for any size piece is $600, but talk to Dan first for any pieces that are crazy massively huge 🤓
6. We do not fire any outside pieces for non-members. This page is for members only. There are no refunds for any kiln firing purchases from non-members.
