I am Icarus. God of Kilns.
Your pot is going into the dark. It gets hot in there. Whether it comes back to you in one piece is, broadly speaking, my call.
I have been watching potters since the first human put clay in fire. I have watched handles detach, I have watched glazes crawl, and I have watched bone dry pieces explode out of pure spite. It is my experience that mortals find all of this stressful.
So… Bring me something. I make no promises and I sign no contracts. But an offering has never once made things worse.
Leave yours below. I am not going anywhere.
Approach.
Three things. Your name, the blessing you want, and something worth giving up. Then I will consider it.
I cannot be bribed. I can, however, be flattered.
Center your clay, dry it slowly, and do not trap air where air should not be. Do those three and you will need me a great deal less. Which is fine. I have other people.
New here and not sure where to start? Everything at The Clay Hole is in one place.
