One number, no inbox

Text us.

One number, one person reading it, and no email address anywhere on this site. That last part is deliberate, and this page explains why.

Texts get read when our membership manager is in, which is usually Monday through Thursday. A few times across the day, in between everything else happening in a 10,000 square foot studio.

Friday through Sunday nobody is watching the number. Send it anyway. It will be sitting there on Monday.

Four doors. Pick the closest one.

Two of them have a faster answer than a text does, and one of them is the only door that works at all.

Tell us which one is closest.

Almost everything anyone has asked us is already written down on the FAQs page, and it is there at two in the morning if that is when you are reading. Start there.

If it is not covered, the chat bubble in the bottom corner of any page on this site is an AI trained on the whole studio. It answers most things on the spot and it never sleeps. When it cannot help, text us.

The honest version

Why there is no inbox

An email address is a promise, and it is one we would end up breaking quietly, every single day.

The studio is 10,000 square feet and the people who run it are in it. Hands in clay, kilns getting loaded, shelves going up, a class starting in ten minutes. Our membership manager gets to the texts somewhere in the middle of all of that.

An inbox would be a second place to check, and it would be the one that lost. Messages would sit for a week. Some would never get opened at all. Nobody would ever know which of those two happened to theirs, including us.

One channel that works beats two that mostly do not.

The number is the whole system

It goes to the person who can actually answer, rather than to a shared address that four people assume somebody else is watching.

Anything long gets a form

A complaint or a detailed idea deserves better than a text thread. That is what the suggestion box is for, and it collects the details we would have had to ask for.

Thanks for understanding this one. There are only so many hours in a day here and not enough hands to run an inbox and a studio floor at the same time. Keeping it to a single number is the reason that number gets answered at all.

What to expect

When somebody is actually reading

Our membership manager handles the number and is usually in Monday through Thursday. Texts get read a few times across those days. Not on a schedule, and not inside a minute.

Typical rather than promised. A holiday week moves all of it, and a quiet day is not the same as an ignored one.

Good things to text about

  • Membership questions, levels and shared shelves
  • Pausing, dropping a level, or asking about a trade
  • Something broken, missing or spilled in the studio
  • A photo of a piece that came out strange
  • Booking a private party or a corporate event

Things the number will not do

  • Cancel your membership. That one is yours to do
  • Get you an answer inside five minutes
  • Reach anybody on a Saturday afternoon
  • Undo a charge that has already gone through

Read this before you text

A text does not cancel a membership

This is the one that costs people real money, so it gets a section of its own rather than a line of fine print.

Cancellations happen inside your own account and nowhere else. We never process one from our side. A text asking us to cancel gets you a reply pointing you back at the portal, and if that reply lands after the 24th, the next charge has already run.

The deadline is 11:59 PM on the 24th, Mountain time, on our clock rather than your phone’s. It is three taps once you are logged in, and the system confirms it for you.

Pausing and dropping a level are the exceptions. Neither one can be done in the portal, so those two really do start with a text and we change them on our end. Both take effect the following month.

Two doors

Text us, or drop it in the box.

One number and one form, and both of them reach a person. Pick whichever fits the thing you are holding.

Texts Monday through Thursday. The box takes anything at any hour, with your name on it or without.
