Members, plus one
You need to be a current or paused member of The Clay Hole. Bring one guest at most. Each person needs their own ticket, so buy two if your plus-one is coming.

A Saturday night in October, the whole studio, a proper potluck, your own drinks, a raffle at 8 sharp, two pottery games played in costume, crowd bingo, and a room full of witches, vampires and at least one walking bag of clay.
Every party this year has a $3 ticket to RSVP. It covers the basic costs of the night, and it keeps the room from filling past the point where anybody can enjoy it. Tickets are first come, first served, and you can buy yours as far ahead as you like to as many parties as you like.
You need to be a current or paused member of The Clay Hole. Bring one guest at most. Each person needs their own ticket, so buy two if your plus-one is coming.
Up to two tickets per member: one for you, one for your guest. Your name goes on the list the moment you check out.
Tickets are not refundable. If you cannot make it, give your ticket to another member and text our events line with their name.
The party does not use one of your monthly classes. Events line: 385-441-6379.
No classes, no open studio and no personal projects. The entire space is reserved for the party and the games, so nobody has to work around a wheel somebody is using for real. Saturday open studio runs that morning as normal. The party is the whole studio from 6 PM.
Full costumes, great hair, face paint, a group theme with your plus-one. Staff hand out bonus raffle tickets through the night for the best costumes, hair and makeup. If yours has a cape or long sleeves, plan to take them off for the wheel game.

Not a grab-a-bag-of-chips-on-the-way potluck. Bring a dish or dessert you love making, make enough to share, and bring whatever serving utensils it needs. Homemade dishes earn 5 raffle tickets each, so ambitious cooks are welcome to bring two.
We provide disposable plates, bowls, cups, napkins and utensils, plus plenty of ice water. All other food and drinks come from the community, which is half the fun: trying what everybody brought, swapping recipes, and using food as one more excuse to sit down with someone new.

Beer, wine, cocktails, soda, mocktails, whatever you like. Anyone drinking alcohol is 21 or older and keeps themselves in check. Have fun and loosen up, but do not get drunk: there are still people, pottery, tools and equipment everywhere. If you are tipsy at all, take a ride home.

Every member can bring one guest, at most. Partner, best friend, sibling, roommate, whoever you most want beside you. Your guest needs their own $3 ticket and signs the studio waiver before they come.
Guests are 18 or older, unless they are already a minor member coming with their parent. Guests eat, play the games, join the bingo and earn raffle tickets, which go in under your name. Raffle prizes are for members.
Built so a first-timer and a ten-year thrower have the same chance of winning. Playing is encouraged and never required. Plenty of people spend the whole time cheering, and the cheering decides most of the winners.

One partner sits at the wheel with their arms behind their back and does all the talking, while the other kneels behind them and becomes their hands without being able to see the clay. The crowd decides which pair came closest to the cauldron, candle, pumpkin or witch’s hat they were given.

Three teammates each draw a secret card and build one part of a monster behind a cardboard wall, a head, a body and a set of legs, then put the parts together for the first time in front of everyone. Costumes can stay on, and the loudest scream picks the winner.
Tell us. Some of the best ideas we have run started with a member saying “you know what would be funny.” Tell any instructor, or text our events line.
Every square on the card is somebody in the room you have to find. You end up talking to people you have walked past for months, and laughing at what you have in common. It was the highlight of last year’s party, so now it runs at every one.
There is no limit to how many tickets you can earn or how many prizes one person can win. You have to be in the room when your name is drawn.
If you have ever left The Clay Hole a Google or Yelp review, show it to us at the party and we will hand you 5 extra raffle tickets. Guests included.
This is a thank-you to the people who already took the time, not a trade for a new review. If you have written one before, it is on your phone right now. If you would like to see where ours live, here is our Google review page.
Starting Saturday, October 2, three weeks out, tickets start piling up. Bring every one of them to the party.
1 ticket per offering. One offering for every new piece you put on the glazeware drop-off table. Write an anonymous secret, say something kind about somebody, or admit you are awesome, and put it in Icarus’s basket.
1 ticket for every Monday morning or Monday through Thursday evening class you attend. Teaching or working a class does not count.
2 tickets for every Friday night, Saturday morning or Sunday morning open studio.
5 tickets for moving up to any higher Level, before or during the party.
1 ticket per platform, per day, for a post, reel, TikTok or story that tags @theclayhole. Posts stay up. Stories just run their normal course.
Our staff hand out surprise tickets for kind, helpful, creative or community-minded moments.
1 ticket for every member and every plus-one. 5 more for you if your guest signs up for a membership during the party.
5 tickets per homemade dish or dessert. Store-bought food earns 1 ticket total, however much of it you bring.
Tickets for the winners and for everyone who plays. The amounts are listed with each game above.
12 tickets for a blackout card, or 1 for every completed row or column.
Bonus tickets from our staff for the most epic costumes, hair and makeup.
5 tickets if you have already left The Clay Hole a Google or Yelp review. Guests included. Pull it up on your phone and show us at the party.
The drawing starts at 8 PM sharp and winners must be present. Raffle prizes go to current and paused members, and to Clay Hole employees. A plus-one’s tickets go in under the member who brought them. Employees earn tickets the same ways members do, except for working a class, and any random employee tickets come from the owner. Game prizes are separate from the raffle. Prize models, colors and sizes may vary, and a comparable substitute may be used if something is unavailable.

Almost done
Done
It should land in the next few minutes. One thing while you wait: we are members only and we do not run walk-in tours, so the virtual tour is the closest you can get to standing in one.

One question
We started in Draper, Utah, and we would like to be in more places than that. Where they go next is the part we have not worked out yet.
Where are you?
That is how we work out where the demand actually is. The rest is so we know who to tell.
Got it
Being straight with you: this could be a long wait, and we will not email you in the meantime. If your area is where the numbers land, you will be the first to know.
