Why weekly pottery classes beat one-time events
One-time pottery nights are fun. They are also, and we say this with love, mostly a photo op. If you want to actually learn pottery, the kind where your hands get smarter every single week, here is the difference.

The Honest Part
We don’t do one-time classes. On purpose.
No date-night gimmicks. No paint-a-pot pop-ins. No rushed hour on a wheel followed by a mug you never see again.
It is not because those nights are terrible. It is because they cannot deliver the thing people actually walk in wanting. You cannot learn pottery in one visit. You cannot find your people in one visit either.
So we built something better instead.
The One-Timer Problem
Why one-time classes never quite cut it
Sure, they can be a fun night out. Here is what they cannot be.
You will not actually learn the skill
You might touch a wheel for a few minutes. Very little of it sticks, because pottery is built on repetition, and repetition needs more than one night.
The work is rushed and impersonal
Most one-time classes never let you trim or glaze your piece. Plenty never even show you the finished result. Someone else decides how your pottery ends up.
They are built for selfies, not skill
Novelty is the product. The pottery is the prop. That is fine for a birthday party. It is not fine if you actually want to make things.
Nobody knows you
In, out, done. No instructor learns your name, your habits, or what you are trying to make. No community forms in ninety minutes.

You will never feel limited here
Most studios stock 20 to 50 glazes. We stock more than 650, plus over 150 underglazes.
Then come the thousands of tools. Slab rollers, extruders, bats, texture tools, trimming tools, and more than 150 molds. If you can think of it, it is probably already on a shelf waiting for you.
All of it is included in weekly classes. Nothing to haul in, nothing to haul home.

What we want you to know before you join
We would rather tell you now than surprise you later.
No contracts, ever
Membership is month to month. Cancel anytime before 11:59 PM on the 24th and you will not be billed again. People stay because they love it, not because we make them.
No drop-ins or punch passes
Weekly consistency is the entire point of this studio, so we do not sell one-off visits. This page is basically our explanation of why.
Clay and firings cost extra
Membership covers instruction, equipment, tools, molds, and studio glazes. Clay is purchased in the studio, and kiln firings are charged by cubic inch.
No refunds, in any circumstance
Please make sure the schedule genuinely works for you before you sign up. We mean it kindly, and we mean it.
Ages 18 and up
Members age 14 to 17 are welcome when a parent or guardian is also a member and attends with them.
A signed waiver is required
Every member signs the studio waiver and membership agreement before their first class. It takes about two minutes.

How it works
Pick a weekly class time
Instructed classes run Monday through Thursday evenings, plus a Monday daytime class. See the full schedule.
Come to the same class each week
Your instructors learn your name, your goals, and what your hands keep doing wrong. Then they fix it.
Build real skills over time
Wheel, trimming, handles, glazing, firing. Each week stacks on the last one instead of starting from zero.
Fill your house with pottery
Functional pieces you are proud of. Fair warning: people will start asking you to make them one.

Before you ask
I am a total beginner. Is that okay?
Perfect, actually. Most members walk in never having touched clay. Weekly classes are built to take you from zero, and four instructors per class means nobody gets left floundering.
What are the class times?
Instructed classes run Monday through Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 10:00 PM, plus a Monday daytime class from 10:30 AM to 2:00 PM. Friday evenings and weekend mornings are open studio time for members. The class schedule page has the full picture, including holidays.
How much does membership cost?
Four levels: Green at $145 per month with 4 classes, Yellow at $170 with 5, Purple at $200 with 6, and Black at $275 with 8. Every level uses the same studio, the same instructors, and the same glazes. Full details on the membership page.
Can I just drop in once to see if I like it?
We do not offer drop-ins, and after reading this far you probably know why. What we do offer: a virtual studio tour so you can see everything first, and a limited batch of new member deals each month that makes your first month easier to say yes to.

No. Month to month, cancel anytime before 11:59 PM on the 24th. That is the whole policy.
What is included in membership?
Instruction, equipment, tools, molds, and studio glazes, with access varying by membership level. Clay and kiln firings are purchased separately in the studio.
