While all our studio glazes look great on their own, layering and combining glazes can lead to truly stunning results. But knowing which ones play well together? That’s an education all its own.

Here are a few great places to get inspired and find examples of glazes in action—real combos from real potters:

AMACO Cone 5–6 Glaze Forum

110K+ members. This group focuses on combining Amaco glazes, including Potters Choice, Celadons, Fluxes, and more.

Mayco Mud Room Society

100K+ members. This group focuses on combining Mayco glazes, including Stroke & Coat and their Stoneware lines.

Coyote Glaze Ceramics & Pottery Group

11K+ members. A smaller group focused on the newer but amazing Coyote glaze line. Great for layering ideas.

Spectrum High Firing Glazes Group

32K+ members. If you use Spectrum, this group is dedicated to their mid-fire glazes and layering tricks.
