Skip the Apps – Make Friends in Real Life Through Pottery
Feeling tired of trying to meet people through apps? Whether it’s dating apps, friend-finding apps, or social media, it often leads to more swiping and less connection. At The Clay Hole, we offer something way better—real human interaction, face-to-face, clay-covered and genuine.
If you’re craving friendships that don’t start with profiles and pressure, our weekly pottery classes in Draper, Utah might be exactly what you’ve been missing.
Real People. Real Time. Real Friendship.
Research from the University of Kansas shows that it takes at least 90 hours to go from acquaintance to friend—and over 200 hours for deep bonds. That doesn’t happen over DMs. It happens over time. In person. Side by side.
Pottery gives you the perfect setting to do that. Every week, you show up, sit down at the wheel or workbench, and let connection unfold naturally—with no screens involved.
Why Pottery Beats the Apps Every Time
- It’s offline—no screens, just people and clay
- Side-by-side setup = low-pressure, natural conversation
- Creative vulnerability fosters authentic connection
- You meet the same people weekly—true friendships form
Our members often say they came for the art—but stayed for the friendships. If you’ve tried the apps and still feel disconnected, this is your sign to try something real.
