Creative Community for Adults Seeking Genuine Friendships
In a world where social media feels superficial and one-off meetups rarely lead anywhere, many adults in Utah are looking for something more meaningful—a real community. At The Clay Hole in Draper, we’ve created just that: a creative space where adults connect through shared purpose, quiet collaboration, and genuine friendship.
If you’ve been craving connection but dread the pressure of forced socializing, pottery might be exactly what your soul (and your social life) needs.
A Studio Built Around Shared Creativity
Unlike traditional social spaces, pottery allows you to connect with others through the simple act of creating. There’s no need to perform, make small talk, or “put yourself out there.” Just show up, work with your hands, and let friendships form naturally.
According to the Mayo Clinic, strong friendships are tied to better mental health, longer life, and improved happiness. But those friendships require consistent time together—and a shared experience makes that possible.
- Repetition and routine = trust
- Shared creative goals = easy conversation starters
- Side-by-side work = no pressure to perform socially
At The Clay Hole, our members aren’t just classmates—they become each other’s people.
Why Weekly Pottery Works When Other Things Don’t
Friendships don’t happen from one-off events. A University of Kansas study found it takes over 90 hours to go from acquaintance to friend—and more than 200 for true closeness.
Our monthly pottery membership gives you one 3.5-hour class per week—enough to build those hours in a way that feels easy and fun.
- Monday Morning: 10:30 AM – 2:00 PM
- Monday–Friday Evenings: 6:30 PM – 10:00 PM
