Pottery for Free-Spirited Thinkers (OcEAn)

If you're a Free-Spirited Thinker—high in Openness, Extraversion, and Agreeableness, with lower Conscientiousness and high sensitivity—you thrive in open-ended exploration. You’re a brainstormer, a feeler, a wanderer of thoughts and ideas. Our Draper, Utah pottery studio gives you space to express, play, and grow. (High Openness, Low Conscientiousness, High Extraversion, High Agreeableness, High Neuroticism)

OcEAn types like you crave stimulation and novelty, but not at the cost of connection or authenticity. You want to make things that matter, but you also want room to explore your impulses, change direction, and let inspiration take the lead. Pottery is one of the few mediums that lets you do all of that—without judgment, without boundaries.

At The Clay Hole, you’ll find weekly membership-based classes that are structured just enough to support your flow while never boxing you in. You can experiment, play, change your mind, and evolve. And best of all—you’ll be surrounded by others who celebrate creativity in all its forms.

Why pottery calls to Free-Spirited Thinkers

  • You enjoy emotional expression—clay lets you work through thoughts, feelings, and creative surges in real time.
  • You’re drawn to creative community—we’re filled with warm, open-minded people who encourage your wild side.
  • You move fast but love to return—our weekly rhythm is perfect for thinkers who thrive with variety and consistency.

Our studio is located in Draper, Utah and includes nearly 10,000 sq. ft. of work/play space, access to giant slab rollers, eight types of clay, thousands of pottery tools, and the largest public glaze wall in the world—with 500+ glazes and 100+ underglazes. It’s a wonderland for curious minds.

The Clay Hole is also known for its warmth. Whether you're an artist, a deep feeler, a wild soul, or all three, we honor every path. Our instructors provide options, not orders. You’ll be cheered on, not managed. It’s freedom with belonging.

"I was afraid I’d feel boxed in or behind everyone. Instead, I felt unleashed. There are no rules here—just possibilities." — Studio Member
