Pottery Classes for Teens in Draper, Utah
Looking for something meaningful and creative to do with your teen? The Clay Hole offers a unique opportunity for parents and their teens (ages 14–17) to bond, create, and grow together through pottery. These classes are not just about clay—they’re about connection, communication, and creativity.
Note: Teens must be between 14 and 17 years old and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian who is also enrolled as a member. We do not accept children under 14 in any class.
Why Pottery Is Incredible for Parents and Teens
- Shared hands-on activity creates meaningful connection
- Non-verbal bonding while working side-by-side
- Encourages open communication without pressure
- Reduces stress, screen time, and outside distractions
- Supports mental health through calm, creative expression
We’ve seen firsthand how pottery helps rebuild connection between parents and teens—especially during challenging phases. With four instructors per class and no judgment, it’s the perfect shared experience to spark conversation, trust, and joy.
“Pottery helped me reconnect with my daughter when nothing else was working. It gave us time, presence, and peace together. I’ll always be grateful.”
— Laura M., member since 2023

Yes. Pottery has been proven to support emotional regulation, confidence, and communication. Plus, there’s no pressure to be perfect—just progress.
Can we both work on the same project?
You can collaborate or create separately—it’s entirely up to you. Many parents and teens enjoy trading ideas and celebrating each other’s work.
