Pottery Classes for Newcomers to Utah
Just moved to Utah? Finding your people can be tough—but The Clay Hole makes it easier. Our pottery classes for newcomers offer a warm, welcoming space to meet other adults, tap into your creativity, and feel grounded in your new surroundings.
Whether you're here for work, family, or a fresh start, you'll feel right at home in our Draper studio. It's a judgment-free, low-pressure environment where friendships form naturally while hands are busy with clay.
New to Utah—But Not Alone
Many of our members are transplants just like you. Some moved from out of state, others from across town—and many are looking for more inclusive, non-conservative community options. We’ve become a creative hub for ex-Mormons, LGBTQ+ adults, and anyone craving real connection.
- No cliques, no pressure—just kind, open people
- Classes designed for beginners and seasoned artists alike
- Wheel throwing and hand-building options in every session
- Supportive instructors in every class—four total per session
We’re especially popular with those seeking a supportive creative space post-transition—whether that’s a move, a faith shift, or just a new season of life. Explore more on our pottery for ex-Mormons in Utah page.
