Pottery Classes for People New to Utah or Looking for Friends
Utah can be a hard place to find your people—especially if you're new here, not part of the dominant culture, or just trying to build a life beyond work and family. At The Clay Hole in Draper, we’ve created a space that’s welcoming, creative, and full of people who get it.
Our members come from all over—moved here for tech jobs, starting over after big life changes, or just looking for connection in a world that often feels disconnected. Pottery gives you the perfect blend of social interaction and focused creativity. You’ll make art, meet people, and build something real—on the wheel and in your life.
You’ll Fit Right In If You...
- Recently moved to Utah and don’t know many people yet
- Want to build friendships outside of work, church, or school
- Are an introvert who loves to connect through shared activity
- Crave a creative outlet that also builds community
- Value inclusion, kindness, and meaningful conversation
You won’t be the only new person. You won’t be the only one hoping to find your people. We’ve got the clay. We’ve got the tools. We’ve got the vibe. All we need is you.
“I moved to Utah for work and felt super alone. Pottery at The Clay Hole changed that. I found real friends and a space where I could be totally myself.”
— Jamie L., member since 2022
