Pottery Classes for Former Religious Women in Utah
Leaving a religion—especially in Utah—can be deeply emotional, isolating, and overwhelming. If you're navigating life after faith and looking for a peaceful, supportive space to reconnect with yourself, The Clay Hole in Draper offers pottery classes for former religious women that honor your journey and welcome your whole self.
Whether you've left the LDS church or any other high-demand religion, our studio is a safe space for healing, growth, and creativity. You don’t need to explain your story—just show up and begin again with clay in your hands.
Create a New Chapter
Pottery is grounding. It invites you to work slowly, trust your instincts, and express what words can’t. Many of our members are former religious women who find comfort, autonomy, and community through clay—and the gentle pace of our studio life.
- No forced conversations, judgment, or social pressure
- Hand-building and wheel options in every class
- Four instructors per class to support your process
- A calm, open-minded community of kind adults
Many of our students are navigating similar shifts. You might also appreciate our page on pottery for ex-Mormons in Utah.

I’m nervous about being around groups right now. Is that okay?
Absolutely. Many people in our studio are healing from something. You’re free to work quietly, speak only when ready, and create your own peaceful experience.
Is clay or firing included in membership?
No—clay and firings are paid separately so you only pay for what you use.
