Adult Friendships Don’t Just Happen. You Have to Show Up for Them.
Most adults want more connection. But friendship doesn’t just fall into your lap once you’re out of school or done raising kids. You have to show up—for yourself, for others, and for the space where that connection can take root.
At The Clay Hole in Draper, Utah, we’ve built one of those spaces. Our weekly pottery classes are more than just art—they’re a soft landing spot for people who want more friendship in their lives but aren’t sure how to make it happen.
The Secret? It’s Just Showing Up
Most adult friendships don’t start with a bang. They start with presence. You show up. You see the same faces. You ask for help. You laugh over a glaze mishap. Week after week, that turns into something real.
- You don’t need to be charming or extroverted—just consistent
- Pottery gives you a creative focus while connection grows around you
- You get to know people slowly and genuinely—no forced friendship
