What to Expect On Day One at The Clay Hole

Your first day at The Clay Hole is just around the corner!

Growing up doesn't mean your first day of classes isn't going to be a little bit nerve wracking! It's really no different than your first day at a new school when you're a kid. Will I fit in? Will I have any friends? Will the teachers like me? We all know the feelings...

Social anxiety is at all time highs, so first let us say... Congratulations on joining The Clay Hole and putting yourself out there on your quest to bring something incredible into your life!

We thought you'd want to know how your first day is going to go down so that you can be ready and prepared. Here's a general idea of what you should be able to expect...

That doesn't sound too intimidating, does it?

There are a few other things you will receive on your first day to make this jump into your new pottery hobby enjoyable and hardly intimidating at all..

THE DAY ONE BOOKLET...

A wealth of pottery knowledge in a very small, digestible package

This booklet was designed by Dan Pearce, founder of The Clay Hole. It is everything he wished he had had when he first started pottery. It goes over the everything you need to know here at the studio, about the process of ceramics (pottery), and other information you should find invaluable.

Your booklet will be yours to keep, so please take it home and read it cover to cover (it's not very long at all). If you do, we promise you you'll be so much more confident about everything you're doing when you come to classes.

The book is always downloadable as a PDF, too. Feel free to jump in now if you'd like to get a head start before your first class!
