Holy smokes, it’s been a while since I ticked off so many people all at once! Pat on the back for me.
My crime? I made some funny fake headlines using generative AI to promote this insane deal we’re having here basically giving a month of pottery away.
GASP. SHOCK. THE HORROR! I’M AN ARTIST WHO USED AI!!!!!
Dozens of people shared their disdain. So many promises to unfollow! SO many demands and judgments and high pressure replies came rolling in.
Listen guys. I don’t know how to say this…
I… Don’t… Care.
It’s not that I don’t care about humans, or about limited resources, or about corporate greed.
It’s that I don’t care if you like me, and I don’t care if you unfollow.
I’ve been doing this social media thing for 15 years. Many of you were still in elementary school when I started doing it. Anyways, do you know what I’ve learned in all that time?
I’ve learned to enjoy and share whatever speaks to me and to post what I enjoy.
If I can always do that, MY people find ME. And those who aren’t my people, well… They take off.
I’ve got around three million followers across my platforms. But do you know what? To get there, I had to lose around 7 million followers.
My goal is never to get followers. My goal is always to lose followers who aren’t my people.
You see, it’s not that those of you stomping your feet and putting high pressure on me in the comments didn’t have any valid points. It’s that you literally cannot show me that you’re capable of looking at the issue from a balanced perspective, and so I just tune you out and give zero craps about what you’re saying. I’ll save that debate for people who are capable of having it intelligently.
I won’t get into all the incredible positives that I also see in AI and what it can bring to humanity. That perspective will be wasted on you and that’s not really what my platform is all about.
My platform is about pottery and The Clay Hole, which is this insanely huge and awesome brand new next level pottery studio where real people come and do real art and make real friends and have real fun.
Those AI generated images, well, they were stupid and funny and I’m more than okay with posting them. In fact, there were more I was going to share in another batch or two. If that’s going to offend you, you may wanna leave now because… Shoot. I think they’re funny.

The whole point of what I shared was to inform you that I’m giving you close to free membership your first month because I have that much faith you’ll wanna come back and remain a part of what we’re doing.
