paper-template-dinner-plate
The Dinner Plate Paper Template

A 10 1/2 inch dinner plate with a twelve-sided faceted well inside a round rim. Twelve flat facets make the well and a smooth round flange frames them, so this plate catches the light like a cut stone and still eats like a dinner plate. The floor and well fold up from one piece, so there is no seam where slab plates usually crack. It anchors my full dinnerware set.

Finished: 10 1/2 in across, 1 1/16 in tall at 12 percent shrinkage.

In the pack

3 template sheets, every piece drawn at exact size, with a 1 inch check square on each

The pieces: Floor and well (cut 1), Flange (cut 4), Foot ring half (cut 2)

One page on printing, rolling and the seam method

Assembly in 15 numbered steps, then drying, glazing and what goes wrong

A size table at 10, 12 and 14 percent shrinkage

The floor and well prints in two parts that tape together

Part of The Full Clay Hole Dinnerware Set, every piece of the set in one pack.

Free for members, logged in to a Clay Hole account. $12 for everyone else.
